Welcome to our Overland Guides — a collection of real-world notes, route insights, and practical information gathered directly from life on the road.

This is not a theoretical guidebook. It’s built from our own overland journey across the United States, Europe, and now deep into Africa in our Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Every section here reflects situations we’ve actually faced while crossing borders, navigating remote roads, and figuring things out as we go.

You’ll find detailed Africa border crossing guides with step-by-step information on visas, vehicle paperwork, temporary import procedures, insurance, and what to realistically expect when arriving at a new country in your own overland vehicle.

Alongside that, we share selected routes through remote roads, trails, and backcountry tracks, as well as practical “how-to” articles for long-distance 4×4 travel — the kind of lessons you only learn once you’re actually out there.

Everything here is based on experience — written slowly, in between miles, border posts, and nights on the road.
